The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the 2023 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Proposed Rule on July 7, 2022, which will impact all surgeons performing abdominal wall hernia surgery. Pending the publication of the CY2023 Physician Fee Schedule Final Rule, and effective January 1, 2023, all abdominal hernia repair procedures will be reported with a new range of CPT codes.

Drs. McNally, Roth and Senkowski will walk us through how these changes will affect your practice and how best to navigate these changes. This panel will be moderated by Thomas Bergamo, BDI Surgery’s Director of Market Access and Payment Policy. The session will begin with Dr. Senkowski delivering a 30-minute presentation that includes details on:

  • How the ventral hernia codes have been redesigned to include the size of the hernia defect
  • The zero-day global period
  • Present a new code for the removal of mesh
  • Many other nuances that will impact your practice

Dr. Senkowski’s talk will be followed by a panel discussion with other reimbursement experts discussing all relevant information regarding physician payments. Please join us for this very important event.
